The Sunshine Music Festival is a non-profit, volunteer run, annual grassroots gathering, dedicated to serving our Powell River community, qathet, and the surrounding regions. We strive to provide a welcoming, family-friendly experience, and a diverse range of musical styles and genres. We are proud of the fact that we run our festival as a ZeroWaste event.
Our festival community believes that collaboration, creativity, and human connection are at the core of all our work.
Our long-standing festival, entering its 45th year, is in need of local sponsorship to continue to thrive in our community.
In the last few years, many B.C. music festivals have had to close due to financial difficulties. We believe we are a small enough festival to keep it manageable and thrive with the help of local sponsors and private donors.
We are aiming to increase our artistic budget and get great Canadian artists to our stage year after year.
